VLC
This project proposed to increase the number of students who would graduate with science and mathematics degrees by developing a virtual learning community (VLC) that coordinated courses in Chemistry and Mathematics. The VLC would extend the benefits to a wider audience by providing a Virtual Collaborative Environment (VCE) that would allow faculty and students to exchange a variety of information anytime and anywhere. This project was focused on attaining goals such as impacting student retention and performance, improving the overall quality of learning for science and mathematics students, and determining the scalability of VLCs within higher education.
